10 Evening Healthy Snacks for Kids: My kiddos love #3!

healthy evening snacks for toddlers

Ladies, we all know the struggle. It's the evening, your kids are hungry (because obviously they are STARVING since having their last snack a wholllle hour ago…IYKYK), and you're scrambling to find a snack that's both healthy and delicious, but everything is filled with crap ingredients.

As a mom and a holistic nutritionist, I've been there. I've seen the rows of conventional kids' snacks filled with inflammatory oils, pesticides, and a boatload of sugar (I'm looking at you, popular cereal bars and chips).

It can be so disheartening and overwhelming to stock your home with healthy foods that your kiddos will actually eat, right? Well, I've got your back. I've compiled a list of 10 evening snack ideas that are functional nutritionist-approved and kid-friendly (Emmett and Ira approved!)

Why are Conventional Kids Snacks Full of Crap?

Firstly, let's take a look at why so many kids' snacks on the market are harming our children's health. Many popular brands use ingredients like hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, and artificial colors - all of which can lead to inflammation, blood sugar spikes, and an increased risk of chronic health issues.

This is just one of the reasons why we are seeing an uptick in allergies, anxiety, pre-diabetes, and chronic conditions in the newer generation of kiddos.

This is one of the reasons I’m so passionate about fueling my fam with HEALTHIER options and sharing our tips, hacks and insights with other woman, especially mamas!
